FAQ
What kind of aerosol paint is Samurai?
Samurai is using NC modified acrylic resin. This NC modified acrylic resin makes Samurai different from all the other brands in the market today and gives it strength in quality.
How long can I store the paints?
If unused, all Samurai paints can be stored for years without being expired. For the Samurai 2K paints, once the chemicals have been mixed, the 2K01 top clear coat should be used within 4 hours and the 2K04, 2K05 and 2K06 surfacers should be used within 24 hours.
As for the other Samurai paints, once used, can be kept for years.
Is Samurai Paint product heat resistant?
Most Samurai Paint products can withstand up to 190°C temperature. Our hi-temp paint, however, can withstand a much higher temperature, approximately 600°C.
What is the difference between 1K and 2K?
1K is a term used to describe a coating that does not require a hardener, catalyst or activator. This term can be used to describe “single component” paints that dry or cure on their own (such as lacquer, enamel or auto touch-up spray can paints.
2K paints on the other hand describes a coating that needs to be mixed with hardener before being used or applied. A 1K hardens on its own, is less susceptible to damage from chemicals, moisture, or UV rays, and is quicker to apply because drying time is faster. It also does not require extra efforts or mixture to apply as compared to 2K.
In the end, 2K is more durable and is used especially for topcoat. With our convenient spray can system, buying the paint is not a problem. But with Samurai 2K Aerosol System, you can paint it like a pro.
What is the area that one 400ML can of Samurai paint?

This will depend on the models and what is to be painted on the motorcycle. But if painting the fairings only, for the typical models such as XMAX, Raiders, Mlcg, etc, the estimated would be 2-3 cans per 400ml of paint. It will again depend on the skill of the painter. The more practice and experience the painter has, the less wastage will be.
